I see stars, far apart,
Unbeknownst of each other’s presence,
I bear witness to their rhythmic twinkling,
That fills even the void that the universe offers.
I see them twirl,
Somehow making sure the other one survives,
For they are in a planetary group of two.
I live for their union, when they meet,
The destruction that it will bring;
Centuries of frozen water will melt into ice,
The life it will bring.
The universe shall bear witness to this love,
Oh great love of mine;
We met once,
And since we’ve only given life.
